Hello, my name is Luigi Medrano! I am a third-year Electrical & Computer Engineering Student at The University of Texas at Austin. My primary focus within ECE is Software Engineering as I have an extensive background in multiple languages which include C/C++, Python, Java, HTML, LABVIEW, and ARM Assembly. I am interested in working within a variety of industries as an automation, avionics, or robotics software engineer.
If you would like to take a look into some of my past projects then feel free to scroll down or if you would like to contact me then please feel free to reach out here.
Listed are some of the projects I have been a part of that have contributed to my skills.
This AI model used a RAG architecture, enabling the compliance team at Dell to obtain product information in seconds from a pool of databases and improving communication with customers.
Centered around creating an AI model for Blue Origin Aerospace, I designed a fully operational chatbot from scratch using TensorFlow and PyTorch, improving company-wide productivity by 80%!
For our final project, my partner and I implemented DAC, ADC, Serial COM, and C programming to develop a video game.
After finishing our circuit board, we moved on to programming the game’s movements in C, achieving bit mapping for the front-end and a multi-functional I/O backend.
To improve FTC Robotics’ object detection, I created an algorithm that enhanced sensing efficiency during matches.
I led my team in designing and programming a robot capable of accomplishing over 80% of tasks in one week after game reveal.
As captain, I led a full rebuild of our robot, which resulted in a 60% increase in point scoring and earned us a ticket to the state competition.
